Dr. Penehafo Haitamba-Shindume

Dr. Penehafo Haitamba-Shindume is a Namibian Naturopathic Doctor, lecturer, researcher, and wellness entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in natural and integrative healthcare. She is actively involved in regulatory and professional health committees in Namibia. Her work focuses on nutrition, naturopathic medicine, nutraceutical regulation, African traditional medicine, and holistic wellness systems. She is passionate about advancing evidence-based natural healthcare and strengthening integrative health practice across Africa.

She is the Founder and Director of Happy Health Trading, where she provides naturopathic consultations and wellness services. She serves as a part-time lecturer at the Namibia University of Science and Technology and is a member of the Complementary Medicines Committee of the Namibia Medicines Regulatory Council and the Complementary Medicines Professional Committee of the Allied Health Professions Council of Namibia.

As Interim President of the African Naturopathic Federation, Dr. Haitamba-Shindume is committed to advancing collaboration, professional standards, research, and policy development for naturopathic medicine across Africa. She holds membership across multiple ANF committees including the Executive Committee, Secretariat, Education and Accreditation, Legal and Ethics, and Research Committees.
